Bond-Laminates GmbH is increasing the production capacity of Tepex reinforced plastic composite panels. As a subsidiary of the German specialty chemicals group LANXESS, Bond-Laminates GmbH is currently building its fourth new production plant at its Brilon site with a workshop area of 1,500 square meters. By the middle of 2019, the company plans to add two more production lines into operation.
The company produces innovative composite materials for the automotive, electronics and sports industries in a 5,000-square-meter workshop. The multi-million euro investment project will greatly increase production capacity and meet the growing market demand for such forward-looking materials. With this expansion, there will be 30 new jobs.
The LANXESS High Performance Materials business also expands its global production network of high performance plastics and builds compound workshops at the Krefeld-Uerdingen site. Starting from the second half of 2019, LANXESS will be producing Durethan and Pocan engineering plastics for the automotive, power and electronics industries.
In addition, the company will build warehouse and silo facilities. The construction project will start in the last quarter of 2018 and will create 20 new jobs for the Krefeld-Uerdingen base. The new compound workshop will help increase LANXESS' production capacity to meet the growing market demand for the next few years.
